Salon Policies
My goal is to always be transparent and on the same page with you, so please review these policies prior to booking your appointment.
Cancellation Policy:

Sam Vay Studios is by appointment only, and I do not double-book, meaning your appointment time is specifically reserved for you.
In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give no less than 24 hour notice. Please text or call the salon (910-632-0831). DMs will not be accepted, as they can get lost in the request folder, and I may not see it.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hour notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee, that must be paid before booking a future appointment.

No-call/no-show appointments will be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the service booked, that must be paid before booking a future appointment. Clients that no-call/no-show multiple times will be banned from future booking altogether.

If you are running late, please call or text the salon to let me know. There is a 15 minute grace period for all appointments. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled (and become subject to the $50 last minute cancellation fee) or it may be altered to fit the remaining time allotted.
Adjustment Policy:

I take pride in my work, so if you are unhappy with your hair, an adjustment may be done within one week of the original appointment, at no additional charge. However, in order to qualify as an adjustment, the goal must remain the same from the original consultation. Changing your mind about what you originally asked for is NOT considered an adjustment, and therefore will be booked as a full priced appointment. There is one adjustment allowed per appointment. If you are still not satisfied after the adjustment, there are no refunds.
Color Correction Policy:

Color corrections require multiple steps and more skill, time and product than a traditional color appointment. Therefore, an in-person consultation is required prior to booking. If you live out of the area, a virtual consultation may be conducted instead. Because these appointments can take up to 8 hours and require blocking out the entire day, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required upon booking.
Guest Policy:

Due to the limited size of my salon studio, please do not bring any guests with you to your appointment, unless they are also receiving a service that same day. For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the salon.
Photo/Video Policy:

Creating content for social media is how I market and grow my business. Therefore, by receiving a service at Sam Vay Studios, you consent to possibly being on camera and having photos and/or video taken of your hair.
Clothing Policy:
​
I always double-drape every client and do my absolute best to protect your clothing from any potential color stains. However, accidents happen, so I strongly suggest not wearing anything you'd hate to get ruined. In the 1% chance that you get color on any of your belongings, Sam Vay Studios is not responsible for replacing or paying for them.
